Hattha Bank, one of the
leading banks in Cambodia, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Trade
Facilitation and promoting of Cambodian Products with the General Directorate
of Trade Promotion of Ministry of Commerce and Makro (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. aiming
to promote Cambodian products and improve the development of Cambodia's
business sector. The signing ceremony was held in Siem Reap province in
the afternoon on June 16, 2022, and presided by Dr. Chhuon Dara, secretary of
state of the Ministry of Commerce.
Oknha Hout Ieng Tong, President and CEO of Hattha Bank said "the collaboration between Hattha Bank and General Directorate of Trade Promotion of Ministry of Commerce and Macro (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. today is a contribution to promote our Cambodian products for further development and growth through Hattha Bank's high commitment to participate in trade promotion activities and events which organized by the General Directorate of Trade Promotion of Ministry of Commerce and Macro Company, we have signed MOU at this time." He continues, “as a commercial bank with the second largest branch network in Cambodia, Hattha Bank will offer a wide range of flexible special financial services packages to traders producers or businessmen who wish to expand their trading production and business potential in order to develop and produce more quality products to consumers." Finally, he believed that the cooperation between Hattha Bank and the General Directorate of Trade Promotion of Ministry of Commerce, including Macro (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, will help to promote the development of Cambodian products widespread across the country and globally.
